Throughout the last quadrennial it became apparent to the BISFed Rules Committee that there were slight inconsistencies in the way that referees from around the world interpreted different rules. As and when these became apparent the committee published clarifications to inform players, coaches, referees and spectators of exactly how the rules were intended.
