World Boccia officials at the Paris Paralympics will be wearing branded clothing supplied by Tarw Sports, as part of a new commercial agreement struck ahead of the Games.

The deal – which includes clothing and event equipment for those working for the federation – means an identifiable presence for the sport’s officials throughout the eight days of competition in the French capital.

The agreement also extends beyond the Games and will see Tarw Sports become the regular supplier of officials’ clothing at tournaments around the world.

Based in Carmarthenshire in the UK, Tarw Sports have a proud history of supplying to disability sports and were the official apparel and merchandise partner for the 2024 Wheelchair Rugby Quad Nations.

They also provided for the Wheelchair Rugby European Championships and have long-standing links with military charities and mental health organisations.

Jon Morgan, President of World Boccia, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Tarw Sports on board as an official partner.

“Our sport is growing rapidly around the world and it’s important our people are visibly identifiable, whilst also using high quality clothing and equipment.

“Just as vital for us is that Tarw Sports are a company whose values align with our own. They are progressive and outward-looking, but also determined and resilient – very much in the spirit of our sport and our athletes around the world.”

Ange Windsor, founder of Tarw Sports said: “We are thrilled to be working with World Boccia and will benefit from having two years working in the sport of wheelchair rugby.

“When you watch athletes in a sport like boccia, reaching a level where they compete at the Paralympics, their personal stories are mind-blowing. They show such determination to overcome every obstacle and that’s something that everyone in life, and business, can learn from.

“’Tarw’ – is the Welsh word for bull and it resonated with us. Whether you want to be successful in business, in sport, or in any aspect of life, you need to be strong, focused and driven.

“You need to be able to work as part of the herd at times, but also an individual and that’s what we strive to do.”
