World Boccia is pleased to announce the bi-partite slot allocation for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The World Boccia Competition Committee, in association with the IPC, selected 24 individual athletes across the 8 individual classes to compete in Paris.

The committee received a total of 80 bi-partite requests. Committee members received information about all athletes, including end-2023 ranking, current ranking, competition results and the rationale provided by the member. The committee’s objective was to select the best performing athletes for Paris. For this, the main indicators were:

  • End of 2023 World Ranking position
  • Outstanding results in major events or against world-class opponents
  • Recent performance and results

In cases where there was no obvious difference in performance, other factors as described in the competition & ranking manual were considered.
