The World Championships have started!!!
169 athletes from 40 countries will compete over eight (8) days, 6-13 December, for the prestigious World Champion title in the BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC3 Pairs, BC4 Pairs and BC1/2 Teams competitions. For the first time a Boccia World Championship will have separate male and female competitions in the individual categories.
The competitions will take place in the iconic Carioca Arenas, built for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The election for BISFeds first Athletes Committee will also take place at the World Championship, with 9 athletes running for 6 spots. Results will be announced on the 13th December.
