BISFed, together with the Spanish Sports Federation of People with Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Damage (FEDPC) and the Catalan Federation of Cerebral Palsy (FECPC) want to inform you that Boccia International Referee Miquel Chalé has passed away.
Miquel was one of the pioneers of Boccia in Catalunya and Spain and contributed to the creation of both federations.
Miquel became involved in Boccia in all its roles, as director of the two federations, coach, medical classifier and referee. His first performance as an international referee was in the Paralympic Games of Barcelona 92 and, since then, he participated in all the Catalan Leagues, Catalonia Championships, Spain Championships and in many international tournaments.
Boccia became one of the pillars of his life.
As his family says, Miquel has been a person who lived for others, helping people who needed to improve the quality of their lives.
His aim has always been to empower everyone to do their best, regarding the different capacities of each one.
Thank you for all you have done for Boccia. You will be missed!
Amic, que la terra et sigui lleu!
