The BISFed Board met in it´s first meeting of 2021 on the 18th of February, at which BISFed Committee chairs and the Athlete representative were also present. The Board approved the budget for 2021 and considered the impact of Covid-19 on BISFed´s 2021 competition calendar. A decision on whether it is safe to hold the Póvoa World Open in July will be taken by BISFed in agreement with the HOC in March. The BISFed Competition and Rules Committee Chair updated the Board on the Ball licensing process and noted that tests are being carried out on all balls received from Manufacturers applying for a license. The list of approved manufactures will be informed to members in March.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for May and amongst several issues will discuss the conditions of holding the Regional Championships at the end of the year and the hosting of BISFed´s General Assembly, which is due to take place in 2021.
